Biography :
Brice Amo was born on August 3rd 1981 in Toulouse with origins from the Reunion island. At a very young age, he discovered the potential of his voice and started singing and taking part in a few well-known operas such as Tosca de Pucini.
His inspiration emerged from many different ethnic origins, his vocal achievements could be described as spellbinding, enchanting chants,sometimes tribal,sometimes mystic or even transcendental ... His hypnotic voice and way of singing are an invitation to a journey of meditating self discovery . He composes and plays different instruments such as percussions, or persian Santur, which are enhanced by the atmosphere of electronic or orchestral musical patterns. In 2004, he founded the group « Omasphere » and started exploring his various sources of inspiration.The band's first album entitled "Prélude" was released in 2009 by the french label Prikosnovenie.

To date, he composes in close collaboration with Pieter BOURKE, himself a film music producer (Golden Globe Award nominated scores for the films Ali and The Insider). Together, they aim to release an album in 2023, as well as projects related to film production. Two singles will nevertheless be produced this year by the SOAME label, highlighting more pop influences (Heroes) and both more orchestral and image-related (Earthborn Odyssey).

C’est le 3 août 1981 que Brice Amo voit le jour à Toulouse (France) de parents originaires de l'île de la Réunion. Ses racines s’ancrent dans le métissage de cette île grâce auquel il colore sa musique avec talent.
Très tôt, l’intensité de sa voix est remarquée. Son parcours musical commence alors, par le chant, dans quelques opéras célèbres comme « la Tosca » de Puccini.
Sa culture musicale est influencée par des rythmes issus de diverses ethnies, proches de ses racines mais aussi de sa sensibilité.
Ses performances vocales offrent des mélopées envoûtantes, tantôt éthérées tantôt tribales, parfois mystiques, ou même transcendantales.
L’union de ce métissage musical et sa voix hypnotique, nous conduit dans un profond voyage musical initiatique. Compositeur, il pratique divers instruments tels que les percussions et le santur, enrichis par des atmosphères de musique électronique ou orchestrale...
En 2004, il crée le groupe Omasphère (www.omasphere.com), qui lui permettra de fédérer ses diverses inspirations.
Leur premier album « Prélude » voit le jour en 2009 (Prikosnovénie).
 
A ce jour, il compose en étroite collaboration avec Pieter BOURKE lui même producteur de musique de cinéma (Golden Globe Award nominated scores for the films Ali and The Insider). Ensemble, ils ont pour objectif la sortie d'un album pour l’année 2023, ainsi que des projets lié à la production cinématographique.
